And yes, Charles is alive!! There almost wasn't a happy ending - I can't tell you the number of times I flirted with the idea of having a sad ending but in the end the optimist in me won out and so voila: we have a happy ending!

Thank you so much for following this and reading and commenting all the way through. I can't thank you enough for that (I still can't believe this fic is finished!) I really hope you enjoyed reading this, it was so great to have you along for the journey!
