Silly Questions...

What does "dub-con" and "non-con" mean? XD I'm unfamilar with the abbreviations...

Non-con means non-consensual sex, so basically outright rape; the other person does not want sex and it is forced on them. Dub-con means dubious consent, so it's not clear whether one or both people are consenting. It may be that there's a mutant that causes sexual attraction who makes Charles and Erik get it on for example, or Hank cooks up a love potion in his lab, or much more mundanely Erik forces himself on Raven and she finds herself enjoying it.

In real life, dub-con doesn't really exist. Rape is rape is rape. But in fanfiction and kink dub-con is a handy tool to have violent/out-of-control/interesting etc sex without bringing outright rape into the equation.

Dubiously consensual and non-consesual situations. Rape, power imbalance issues, mind control, sex pollen...

Added: misogyny

May I make a suggestion to add transphobia or cissexism on the list? Just for completeness' sake!

Also adultery? I'm aware that this list could get excessive, but I'm guessing a number of people reading these fics will have had particularly painful experiences with adultery, and might want a heads up before their evening's ruined by the influx of memories.

You mean infidelity in general, right?

Adultery generally means sex outside of marriage/pertains to infidelity in regards to marriage, to my understanding. And ah, the biggest ships AFAIK, don't go around getting officially married and what not. Mostly because it wouldn't be allowed. Especially with ships including more than two persons.

If you meant general infidelity, I would totally agree.

Yep, sorry, exactly what I meant :P Brain clearly wasn't working! Couldn't give a damn whether marriage was involved or not.

Would it be possible to require that pedophilia be distinguished from underage (pedophilia would involve a prepubescent child, whereas underage would be any minor above that age)? They are way, WAY different things....
