I made the executive decision not to cover that ground again - Charles knows Erik knows who the original Kurt was to him, and it's painful for him to remember, so he doesn't talk it out. They both know what a shitty thing it is for his name to get replaced by that of someone he hates. There's no need, between them, as close as they are now, to reiterate that. I hope that makes sense :)
