I figured I'd put this here rather than email, so it's easier for you to keep track of.

Oh, Erik, you are so thoroughly insane, you know that, right? It's not just with Charles, but in your politics, your need to conquer the world just to save mutantkind.

You really do a fantastic job of showing how unbalanced he is. How he just leaps into things without thinking it over, and how he justifies the things he does even when they were bad choices/decisions and/or just plain insane. It's very much Magneto of canon.

This is still so very depressing. I feel bad for Erik, even though he's sort of dug his own hole. I feel worse for Charles, because he knows. He has to know. Gah, they drive me crazy. How did you make this so real that I want to reach into the screen and punch them? It should be illegal.

(PS: Got through without a trigger, though despair, so much despair) so thanks for editing this for me. It really is above and beyond (and frankly awesome).

It's really interesting to me, because you have a totally different view of Erik than I do, and not just because I spend so much time in his head. I'm not going to argue with it though if it works for you and you're enjoying reading :)

Glad you didn't get triggered, honey. I suspect we may need to do the same thing for the next update too, but that's not a problem.

Oh, I have no doubt. Your and my interpretation of Charles and Erik have always been vastly different. But that's the beauty of characterization (and why I never use the phrase OOC). It's all biased by our experiences and perspectives.

It's interesting, though, because, for example, your view of Charles is so different from my own that I treat your Charles like an original character. That's not to say that either of us are right (subjectivity) but he's so different from my head canon. It's fascinating. Granted, I take 60% of my characterization from the comics, 20% from the animated series and the remaining 20% from a combination of XMFC and X1-3, so I'm pretty sure my Charles/Erik characterization is wildly different from the vast majority of the fandom.

Also, I think you're more of an Erik fangirl, yes? I'm a Charles girl.
