I like how they're both in over their heads literally too (taht bit about ruling a country, and Charles getting a glimpse of Erik's past). Erik 'drowning out' his thoughts and Charles's as he is showering, Charles's shadow 'washing over' him when he approaches in the room.
Kudos. And bravo, Erik. Let go your heart as you do your fist. Depending on where you let it fly and how freely, a blow twice as strong will return to you.
(Also, this MOVED me, okay. I was gonna go sleep but THE FEELINGS. So if you would take this little thank-you for a lovely chapter... (http://kannibal.tumblr.com/post/17445975630/like-a-fist-like-a-heart-like-an-open-hand) )Re: FILL: Everyday Love in Stockholm 147/?
Uh. Trying to be coherent and answer your point about the images I use. I think one of the things I really enjoy about art, and one of the things I love to try and do in writing, is using touch and implication and juxtaposition to tell a story in and of itself without needing to say things explicitly; there are certain motifs I come back to again and again, eyes and hands and water especially (which you will notice in my STXI fic, too, as well as a lot of my original stuff.) I'm just really so happy you noticed it, and the art -
Thank you, so so much. I can't really express how delighted I am. You're amazing.
