It's brilliant! Utterly brilliant. In the aftermath you didn't go where I feared*, at least not yet (granted, you haven't let us see much of how Erik and Charles coped, to the extent that they do). The bleakness in which you leave them, even the partial recovery over years is heartrending.

Reading comments above has answer something I'd wondered about, that is, whether you were going to circle back to the start and there an end, or take them beyond that. It you are indeed continuing, I have absolutely no idea where you'll go, but I'll be there.
