New layout!

Hi, everyone! We've just changed the layout to a full-width, scaleable layout that more closely resembles the old S1 style. There are still a few bugs and tweaks that we're trying to work out, but for the most part it seems to be settled.

If you are experiencing any problems seeing/using the layout, or have helpful suggestions, please direct them to this post. Also, if you're using a mobile device and can't get the layout working, that's useful information as well. Thanks for your patience!

ETA, 12/23: To everyone looking for the LJ code overrides, I've posted them here with documentation and a list of known bugs. :)

Holy cow, I love this new layout. What is it, how can I put it on other journals? It's the most readable thing I've seen in LJ in four years.

I don't actually go here, but I wanted to let you know, in my browser and some others your username is stretched across the entirety of the post. If you add .username {max-width:120px;} somewhere, it should fix that.

Was browsing on my android's Opera Mini browser in flat view and hardly noticed a difference from before -- to put it more accurately, I actually forgot there was release 88. :) Great job!

Thanks mods, for being on top of things! This place was one of the first ones (if not -the- first one) to switch to a thankfully functional layout similar to the old one. Anyway, there are some bugs, yes...perhaps you guys can check out sf-drama @ LJ? Their layout is very similar to this one but looks a bit cleaner to my eyes and doesn't have that problem of things aligning to the bottom then to the top whether subject-less or not.

This may have nothing to do with the comm, but I am running into some lagging post post. I'll post a comment, and sometimes it will show up immediately, sometimes it won't. It does show eventually, but the lag time is has been over a two days in the worst case. I thought it was a cache issue on my end. But the problem persisted across browsers. I've got Firefox, Explorer, and Safari.

I don't necessarily expect you guys to be able to fix something like this. Just thought it was worth mentioning in case other people are running into the same issue or know what's going on. :)
