We did a poll earlier this month where the comm decided it wanted 5k instead of 3k (http://xmen-firstkink.livejournal.com/5597.html). I agree, having to Captcha all the time is annoying, but it's how the vote turned out. We're already set at "show Captcha to nobody," so I don't think there's much else we can do.
