Why is that strange? Someone anonymously bashed a fic and that's against the rules so it was screened. Most of the comments defending the story and the author used insults and attacks, which is also against the rules. In screening the comments, I was enforcing the rules and certainly not sweeping anything under the rug. Our rules explicitly say:
We have has zero tolerance towards prompts and comments containing personal attacks on other community users [...] Anon comments violating this rule will be deleted.
Bashing on the meme will not be tolerated.
Report bashing to the mods. Please don't engage the poster.
The author is question also had a say in this. And finally, I'm not sure what kind of punishment you think we can give an anonymous user.
