Charles has been in love with Erik for years, and Erik is fiercely protective over Charles and loves hanging out with him and getting into long debates with him, but he thinks the person he's looking for is more similar to him, and doesn't think of Charles in a sexual light at all. (But embarrass Charles as much as you want AFTER Erik finds out, haha.)
