If your question or comment requires a response, please describe it in the subject line (something short, like "anon is off" or "kerfluffle imminent") so as to make it easier to find.

please?

Hello, I'm creating a community of kink_meme about Star Trek and I'm wondering if I can use your post of rules and warnings (changing obviously details). This can help me so much because my first language is no english. Of course I acredite you! please?

Do you know an XMFC community for recs?

That is to say a community where I can ask for a certain type of fic I'd like to read, and people give me recommendations for fics that already got written?

Reposting prompts

I had a question about reposting unfilled prompts: if the OP was not anon, should somebody ask for their permission before reposting their prompt?

Warnings Mistake

[identity profile] ember-to-ash.livejournal.com 2012-04-01 01:31 am (UTC)(link)
Okay, so, this is what happened. I posted a sex scene, and didn't consider it dub-con (at the time), BUT some of my readers informed me that it was. They also said I should warn for mentions of past non-con (which I just added to the scene, pretty unplanned) and that it was a slavery AU.

I immediately agreed to do this, and I edited my first entry of the story, as well as the entry before the non-con reference (just in case). I also posted an apology, cause you know, I felt like a douche for dropping the ball.

BUT someone has recently brought it to my attention that I was suppose to... repost the entries? Which is to say, I don't know which entries I should repost, the sex scene? The entire thing because I didn't warn against slavery?

I don't want to be, you know, black listed or banned or anything. I want to follow the rules. I'm just confused as to what I should repost. Should I just delete the whole thing? I'm cool with whatever, because I'm really confused and kinda freakin out. I like this meme, and even if for some reason this means I can't post again, I'd still like to be able to read. I attached a link to the posts.

After posting this I'm gonna read through the responses and see if there's a similar situation...

OKAY so, again, sorry for acting out without you guys actually tell me what to do, but I decided to start deleting all posts containing the story, and then reposting at a later date with the proper warnings, because that seems to be the thing to do.

I AM SO SORRY, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE FORGIVE ME IF THIS IS WRONG.

So, I didn't delete my "prompt" post, but I think that's okay? Please feel free to delete or do whatever you feel necessary, I just didn't want to leave the problem as is!

Whoa there, Ember, whoa. Read the rules first.

So the rules say that I should have warnings in the subject line for prompts. This is kind of odd for me, because I wrote and filled my own prompt. In the prompt I did not ask for past mentions to non-con, nor dub-con. I did, however, request a slavery AU, technically. And I was planning on dub-con.

Basically, yeah, I'm definitely not reposting until you guys tell me what to do. I did delete all of the parts of the thread that contained story, because I wasn't about to leave the can of worms out in the open. I didn't delete the prompt though, cause I'm waiting on further instruction.

Even if it's your prompt, you didn't actually mention non/dub-con so you don't have to warn for it. But you must include warnings for that in the subject line of every fill comment that includes it. I don't see your prompt as a slave AU (so it wouldn't need to be warned for in the prompt), but if you write a fill that goes along those lines, a warning is required.

If you repost your fill, just make sure it includes warnings for slavery, intoxication/dubcon, noncon, and anything else you include.

How to prompt

(Anonymous) 2013-03-18 02:13 am (UTC)(link)
I am completely new to livejournal so maybe this is the stupidest question ever, but how do I prompt on the kink meme? Is there something special that I need to do?

Question about missing parts

[identity profile] shineriol.livejournal.com 2016-09-03 07:43 am (UTC)(link)
I would like to ask what ever happened to the last 6 parts of this fill and if I can still find those anywhere? Thank you. Link here http://xmen-firstkink.livejournal.com/2439.html?thread=2688135#t2688135
