Round 5, Charles/Erik, Raven
Date: 2013-02-05 06:15 pm (UTC)Charles and Raven get into a big fight after Charles absent mindedly responds to one of Raven's surface thoughts, like correcting her grammer or laughing at a joke or something, and Raven sees this as him breaking his promise. (she's probably upset over something else, and just takes it out on Charles, because I don't think Raven would yell at him like that otherwise, but I don't mind).
Charles doesn't want to upset his sister, so the next day he purposely blocks out every thought of everyone in the mansion, even surface ones.
Thing is, it's hard work keeping those shields up constantly, and the effect is physically draining. By the end of the day he's practically falling asleep into his dinner and can barely bring himself to get up the stairs to go to bed, let alone play chess with Erik. Cue put out!Erik and guilty!Raven.
The day after, Charles doesn't show up at breakfast. When Erik goes to check on him, he finds him lying on his bed above the covers in yesterday's clothes, fast asleep. He finally emerges in the early evening embarrassed at having slept so late, but still refusing to read anybody's mind.
Mainly I want Raven realising how difficult it is for him to stop himself from doing what comes naturally, but I don't mind Cherik or another pairing, but it's not neccesary.
Bonus: something about how Charles acts when he can't hear people's thoughts, like he takes figures of speech literally, or he can't tell when someone's lying or being sarcastic. He can't hear underlying emotion in a voice because he never needed to before. (jesus, even the bonus is too long!)

There was a discussion on tumblr and/or LJ a few weeks ago about how amazing it would be if Thor were in fandom. Basically that Thor would ship Charles/Erik and have ALL THE FEELS about their tragic romance.
So yeah. Darcy introduces Thor to tumblr and fandom and he starts "RPF" shipping Charles/Erik. This culminates in Thor expressing his manpain by knocking down buildings in downtown Manhattan, and Fury finds Thor in the rubble, and Thor is sobbing, "WHY IS THEIR LOVE SO TRAGIC? CAN'T THEY JUST BE HAPPY? THEY'RE SO IN LOVE."
Which leads to Fury going FML and presenting The Avengers with their toughest mission ever: reconciling Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr.
(Timeline-wise, I'm good with either messing up the timelines so XMFC is somehow contemporary with The Avengers, OR having the timelines be normal and having old dude Charles/Erik.)
Make it cracky and give it a happy ending, anons! :D

Personal head!canon says that this was done on purpose, to give Erik a way to help everyone if they get in danger by yanking them away or lifting them, etc. Basically a big honking sign of trust and teamwork.
Post-divorce, the X-Men now have new uniforms with absolutely no metal anywhere.

He's drawn to her by her passing thought - no, never passing, painfully there, but being excised for relief - about a child and a man. A man with most marvelous and strange (and terrifying) abilities (and a baby her little baby her poor little baby shh let's not think of it).
She is a poor immigrant, new to Britain, and it soon becomes obvious that she is heavily pregnant. Charles can feel the children - two nebulous minds like a stream pressing on his skin. He is in the middle of his thesis - young and popular and genius and just so very busy - but one day he realizes that he can't imagine not seeing Magda and little Wanda and Pietro every day. That to imagine them not there cracks his heart like drought-ridden earth.
The obvious next step is to ask her to marry him.
A year or two passes, and he meets a familiar, angry, utterly groovy man in Atlantic waters. Life seemed complicated with the discovery of more mutants and the government being involved - but really, it's nothing compared to what's happening in his personal life.
Charles/Magda, Charles/Erik, Erik/Magda, ultimately Charles/Erik/Magda, please.

Instead of Charles being available for everyone's pleasure, I want everyone available for Charles' pleasure. He's gathered everyone at the mansion and takes turns sleeping with all of them. Lots of Charles praising and petting his followers/pets/concubines and of course ALL THE SEX.

Despite Erik cutting quite the intimidating figure... and his weird staring... his inability to string a sentence together or look Charles' in the eyes - despite these qualities, Charles has more or less deemed him nice enough, if not a bit odd.
